Yunlong Lake is located in the heart of the city, with Yunlong Mountain to the east of the lake, Pearl Mountain to the south, Xiaochang Mountain and Waniu Mountain to the west. The scenic area features vast lake waves and layered green mountains, attracting numerous visitors throughout history. The Northern Song Dynasty literary figure Su Shi, who served as the prefect of Xuzhou, was particularly fond of this lake. Today, the East Lake scenic area is mainly focused on water activities and sightseeing, while the West Lake area is primarily for recuperation and vacationing, and the South Lake area is mainly for entertainment and hotels. There are also a children’s water park, beach bathing area, and a swimming area for thousands.
Xiaonanhu Scenic Area: The Xiaonanhu scenic area includes a pond, two islands, three pavilions, and five gardens. The entire scenic area is exquisitely designed around the water, featuring the characteristics of a ‘Jiangnan garden’ with its art galleries, water towns, small bridges, flowing water, famous gardens, and lotus ponds with fish and lotus roots as the main landscape, forming a ‘quiet lake and secluded garden’ Chinese classical cultural and natural landscape characteristic.
Water World: Located on the island in the center of Yunlong Lake, it is composed of an aquarium, ocean theater, marine rare specimen museum, and 4D dynamic cinema. The aquarium has seven themed exhibition areas showcasing over 200 types of precious fish species from around the world, totaling more than 10,000 fish. Being in it feels like diving into a mysterious underwater world.
Binhu Park: Situated on the north bank of Yunlong Lake, it is connected to Yunlong Mountain in the east, Han Mountain in the west, Yunlong Lake in the south, and Binhu green space in the north. It is a ribbon-shaped ecological garden park with a swimming area for thousands.
Binhu New World: Located on the north dam of Yunlong Lake, it is composed of a citizen square, pedestrian street, and art museum. It is a modern urban lakefront ecological leisure and cultural place that integrates leisure, entertainment, dining, and shopping functions.
