The Yunshuiyao Scenic Area was not originally called Yunshuiyao. It became widely known because of the shooting of the movie ‘Yunshuiyao’ and was renamed as such. It is a part of Nanjing Tulou and also a popular place to stay in Nanjing Tulou. The scenic area includes three attractions: Yunshuiyao Ancient Town, Hegui Tower and Huaiyuan Tower. The three attractions are spread along a small river in Changjiao Town.

In the middle is Yunshuiyao Ancient Village. At the north end is Huaiyuan Tower and at the south end is Hegui Tower. The most spectacular in the entire scenic area should be the five-story Hegui Tower. It is a large square tulou. Surprisingly, it is built on a swamp. There is a sunken pebble ground in the atrium. It is long-term damp. Standing on it and stepping on it, you can feel the ground shaking up and down.

It should be noted that if you want to go upstairs, you need to pay an additional 5 yuan. And there is a strong commercial atmosphere here. Various stalls are crowded. In addition, the Yunshuiyao Scenic Area is a place suitable for walking. Here are Hakka tulou, century-old banyan trees, and ancient roads paved with pebbles. Strolling by the pebble-paved stream, watching the gurgling water, white ducks walking slowly, banyan trees and weeping willows, and feeling the fresh and natural rural scenery is really a kind of enjoyment.
