Yuntai Temple is located in Yuntai Village, Tongcheng Township. With an altitude of more than 1,200 meters, it was first built in the period of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty (i.e. 608 AD). There are four glittering characters of ‘Walking on Danger as if on Flat Ground’ on the original mountain gate and a couplet that reads ‘Clouds return to distant mountains as if approaching; wind shakes the perilous rock and the temple seems about to fly’.
