Yunxiu Temple is located in Yunxiu Mountain, Erdu Township, Deqing County, and was originally established in the eighth year of the Chunxi era of the Song Dynasty (1181). It has experienced several periods of rise and fall, and was later renovated by the monk Wencui in the fifth year of the Zhizheng era of the Yuan Dynasty (1345). It was destroyed during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty and was rebuilt with the donation of Guo Duanping, a relative of the emperor, during the Wanli period. Yunxiu Mountain, formerly known as Qingyun Tower, is also named after the tower. The temple is backed by the Yubing Peak, surrounded by Da Niu Mountain, Jiaoziding, Hushan, and Yiqiu Ridge, with a group of peaks encircling it, and lush bamboo and pine trees. Today, the temple has red gates and pink walls, with soaring eaves, exuding a robust and simple style. Inside, it houses the Sutra Pavilion, Vajra Hall, and the Mahavira Hall. In December 1989, it was listed as a provincial key cultural protection unit. Not far from the temple, there is a Stone Gate Cave with walls standing like screens and a huge stone covering the top. Inside the temple, there is a Song Mei and a four-season ancient osmanthus, with pleasant scenery, making it a famous tourist destination. It is open all year round and available all day, with specific business status subject to the daily opening conditions.
