The Longgang of the world is located in the southeastern corner of Yunyang County, close to Lichuan City, Hubei Province, Fengjie County and Wanzhou District of Chongqing City. The core area is 80 kilometers away from the county seat. The landscape of the scenic area is peculiar, with dense karst caves, strange peaks and rocks, towering stalagmites, majestic, dangerous, handsome, in various poses and colorful. It is a museum of natural sciences and a grand view garden of geological landscapes, integrating various charms such as majesty, strangeness, danger, steepness, tranquility and beauty. The “Flying in the Clouds” series of experience projects in the scenic area allow you to feel the fantastic experience of shuttling through the jungle and the fun challenge of flying at high altitude.
The “Cloud Corridor Bridge” is one of the core scenic spots in the scenic area. It is like a “flower in the air” blooming on the top of a cliff at an altitude of 1106 meters. Modern art and natural landscapes are integrated, adding a bit of agility. The entire corridor bridge has a circumference of 60 meters, a cantilever length of 26.68 meters. The bridge deck and guardrail are made of fully transparent tempered glass, which is convenient for tourists to view the scenery at 720 degrees with confidence. After the rain and sunny days, the corridor bridge can present a wonderful scene of “clouds and landscapes underfoot, white clouds above the head kissing mouth to mouth”.
“Longgang” is located in the south gate area of the scenic area. The first karst vat in the world and the unique geological scenery on earth. Longgang is a naturally formed tiankeng. Because its general shape is like a water vat and the edge of the vat is winding like a giant dragon hovering on the edge of the tiankeng, it gets its name. The depth of Longgang is 335 meters. Because of its special geographical form with the cylinder wall and the bottom of the cylinder being nearly 90 degrees vertical, it is known as the “number one vat in the world”.
Yunyang Longgang National Geopark offers preferential policies for children: free admission for children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.2 meters in height (inclusive). Minors aged between 6 (exclusive) and 18 years old (inclusive) with valid identification receive discounted tickets. Elderly individuals aged 65 and above (with an elderly card or ID) enter for free; those aged between 60 and 65 (exclusive of 65) with a Chongqing Municipal People’s Government Respect for the Elderly Certificate or ID receive discounted tickets.
Military personnel: active-duty soldiers, martyrs’ families, revolutionary disabled soldiers, and retired military cadres with valid documents enter for free. Disabled individuals with a disability certificate enter for free. Students with a full-time undergraduate or lower degree with a student ID receive discounted tickets.
