Yunzhuan Mountain Tourist Scenic Area is located within the Yudong area of Banan District, the main urban area of Chongqing. It is one of the forest parks in the overall plan of Chongqing City, 28 kilometers away from the city center’s Jiefangbei and 7 kilometers from the Yudong urban area. The altitude is 650 meters, and it is one of the old ‘Ba-Yu Twelve Scenes’ and the ‘New Eight Scenes of Banan’.

Yunzhuan Mountain, shaped like a pagoda, is majestic in appearance, composed of nine forts and thirteen bays. From a distance, it resembles a sleeping Buddha gazing at the moon, and up close, it looks like a colossal pillar supporting the sky. The mountain’s terrain is perilous and full of interest. There are more than 20 natural landscapes such as Yunzhuan Pine Forest, Yunshan Lake, Changqing Water, and Niutou, with tall and dense forests blocking out the sky, clear lake water, and rippling blue waves.

There are also historical and cultural relics such as the Stockade Gate, Yunzhuan Temple, Old Courtyard Wood Carvings, Qingfeng Tower, Luohan Well, Wenchang Palace, and Baolian Temple, each with a long and storied history. The area is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
