The Kanyunlou Imperial Examination Culture Museum, situated on Wang’an Road in Simen Town, Yuyao City, boasts convenient transportation and a spacious, well-lit environment. The museum is home to 10 exhibition halls, each dedicated to a different aspect of the imperial examination system.
The exhibition is organized around four major themes:
1. “Tracing the Origin of China’s Imperial Examination System”
2. “Yuyao in the Imperial Examination Era”
3. “Remains of Imperial Examination Culture”
4. “Cultural Customs of Imperial Examination”
With over 700 pieces of cultural relics as a solid foundation, the museum covers more than a thousand years of China’s imperial examination history, vividly bringing to life the historical culture of the eastern Zhejiang region.
Visitors can explore the museum from Tuesday to Saturday, with operating hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
