The Yuzheng Scenic Area spans an area of 39 hectares. Yuzheng Peak’s Daoist Rock resides atop the surrounding mountains, standing thousands of feet tall, divided into two sections, steep and majestic, with a smooth texture and a white color resembling jade. Climbing to the top of the peak offers a panoramic view of Yueqing Bay, providing an expansive and refreshing view.
Surrounding Yuzheng Peak are various remarkable natural formations such as Buddha’s Hand Rock, Hidden Pearl Rock, Turtle Rock, Immortal Master Rock, Flame Mountain, Pen Rack Mountain, and Twin Rhino Peaks.
Yuhong Cave, with a height of fifteen to sixteen fathoms, features a large stone blocking the entrance, curling upwards like a rainbow spanning across. The cave faces southeast, protected from the cold in winter and the heat in summer. Inside, there is a jade spring with clear and sweet water that never dries up. From the entrance, one can overlook the mountains arrayed like piles of millet, and in the distance, the rivers and seas with ships speckled and sails scattered. Below the mountain, there are twin lakes, resembling a precious mirror and a jade plate. In the morning, one can watch the sunrise and in the evening, enjoy the sunset, with ever-changing scenes that inspire a sense of tranquility and delight. Hence, Yuhong Cave is listed as one of the thirty-six celestial caves in ‘The Comprehensive Mirror of Immortals’.
The area is open from January 1st to December 31st, from 08:00 to 17:00.
