Zhaixi Zen Temple was jointly established by local Buddhists during the Xuanhe era of the Northern Song Dynasty. According to ancient legend, a stele commemorating the completion of Zha Xi Temple was erected.
By 1997, under the responsibility of Mei Shan Village, the temple was relocated and rebuilt at the foot of Yuanbao Mountain in Dalin. Four simple rooms still house more than ten Buddhist statues of the temple.
