The Zhang Bao Gao Memorial Tower is located within the Chi Shan Scenic Area in Rongcheng, adjacent to the Fahua Temple. It was initiated and established in 1994 by Ms. Choi Min-ja, the president of the World Korean National Federation. The tower’s base measures 19 meters in length, 16 meters in width, and 18 meters in height; the tower itself stands at 15 meters tall, with a column area of 11 square meters.

The design of the tower is unique, with two stone pillars representing the peoples of China and South Korea, connected at the top symbolizing the friendship between the two nations. The entire tower is constructed from Shi Dao red chisel stones, with natural Shi Dao red polished slabs in the middle, inlaid with six bronze characters inscribed by Kim Young-sam, reading ‘Zhang Bao Gao Memorial Tower’. It has written a new chapter in the friendship between the Chinese and Korean peoples.

The tower is open all year round, available 24 hours a day, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
