The Zhang Leping Memorial Hall is located in Haiyan, the hometown of Mr. Zhang Leping, with the museum’s name inscribed by the renowned writer Ba Jin. The structure of the hall is exquisitely crafted, with a unique design and an elegant environment.
On the lawn in front of the museum stands a bronze statue of Zhang Leping with Sanmao. Inside, the museum displays over a hundred of Mr. Zhang Leping’s comic treasures, various editions of his collections, relics, calligraphy, and more, with images reflecting Mr. Zhang Leping’s journey in revolution and artistic creation, complemented by the screening of TV recordings such as ‘Sanmao流浪记’, ‘Oriental Tales’, and ‘Sanmao Joins the Army’.

Mr. Zhang Leping (1910-1992) was a cultural celebrity from Haitian Township in Haiyan County, a famous comic master who created a large number of comic works throughout his life, with the ‘Sanmao Series’ comics being his representative works. The entire memorial hall is exquisite in structure, unique in design, and beautiful in environment, with the name of the museum inscribed by the literary giant Mr. Ba Jin.

The museum includes a memorial room, a creation room, an exhibition room, an activity room, and a reception room. It houses nearly a thousand original works of Mr. Zhang Leping, published collections, as well as photos and relics from his lifetime. The museum has been named a Patriotic Education Base in Jiaxing City and Haiyan County.

The opening hours are from 08:45 to 11:30 and from 13:30 to 16:30 all year round.
