The Ginkgo Forest in Zhanggezhuang Village, Changping District, Beijing
Located to the east of Zhanggezhuang and south of Nanshao subway station, this ginkgo forest is a remarkable sight. It is situated near the south bank of the Beijing Miyun diversion canal, which follows the old river course of Baifu Weir, a historical structure built during the Yuan Dynasty. Planted in 1999, the forest spans an impressive area of approximately 1000 mu and is home to 8 strains of ginkgo trees, with over 800,000 trees in total. The scale of this forest is truly spectacular.
