Zhangren Peak, located to the northwest of the Yuhuangding, is named after its shape resembling an elderly man with a bent back.
Nearby, there are several smaller stones complementing it, hence it is also known as ‘Old Man Playing with Grandchildren’.
On the peak, there are inscriptions such as ‘Reaching the Sky and Lofty’ and ‘Standing Alone in the Middle Heaven’, along with a poem left by Emperor Qianlong: ‘The elder of the Five Great Mountains comes from Qingcheng, why would Mount Tai borrow its name?’ The peak is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
