Zhang’s Mine Pit Ice City Tourism Area, under Zhang’s Tourism, is located on the south side of the national cultural relic ‘Shishui Dianbu’ in Shiyang Town, Taishun County. It is developed from an abandoned diabase open-pit mine on the basis of ecological restoration, covering a total area of 5.2 hectares, and includes five tourist areas: Nanlongwan Gorge, Cliff Crossing, Ice City, Joyful Labyrinth, and Flower Field Celebration.
Nanlongwan Gorge, which is 1314 meters long, consists of Longgui Lake, Xuanye Lake, Riyue Lake, and Lover’s Island, Sun Island, and Moon Island. The water level is maintained at 317.2 meters year-round, formed by natural seepage from the cliff walls, with an average water depth of 25 meters. The gorge’s sides are nearly vertical, and the average width of the lake surface is 55 meters. The ‘Fu Men’, which is narrow with only 5 meters, offers a boat ride experience like being in an art gallery. Cliff Crossing features an existing long off-road kart track in the East China region, allowing drivers to fully express speed and passion on the undulating terrain. The Joyful Labyrinth, built from mining waste, gathers folk intangible cultural heritage from Southern Zhejiang and Eastern Fujian, as well as more than 20 attractions and educational entertainment projects such as Ice City, Sun Island Water Park, Stone Kingdom Lawn, and Sky Shishui Dianbu. Opening hours are from 05/01 to 09/30, 08:00-18:00; and from 10/01 to 04/30, 09:00-17:00.
