Zhangzhou’s cloth-puppet show has a long history, dating back to the Ming Dynasty’s Wanli period, and has spread to Southeast Asia. The puppetry is characterized by its delicate movements and lifelike character portrayals. It can express the full range of human emotions in opera, such as singing, reciting, acting, and the feelings of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, as well as perform actions that are difficult for human actors to achieve. The performance lasts approximately 60 minutes, making it a puppetry form with superb skills, exquisite modeling, and a unique style. The puppet art performance hall opens only 30 minutes before the show on the day of the performance. Preferential policy for children: Free entry for children under 1 meter (not including 1 meter).
