Zhanqiao is located on the southern seashore of Qingdao’s central urban area. It is a 440-meter-long seaside promenade that extends from land into the sea. Built in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1892), it has a history of a hundred years and has always been regarded as a symbol of Qingdao.
