Zhaohua Ancient Town is the hometown of Liu Guangdi, one of the “Six Gentlemen of the 1898 Reform”. It is one of the famous ancient towns in Zigong that prospered due to salt production and also a renowned ancient town for silk production and sales. Known as the “transportation hub on the ancient salt route”, Zhaohua Ancient Town’s unique historical and cultural resources can be divided into five major categories: street architecture, ancient ferry docks, historical relics, natural landscapes, and intangible cultural heritage.
