The Longfeng Gorge is located about 15 kilometers northwest of Zhaoyuan City. It is named after a mountain peak resembling a dragon’s head and a phoenix-shaped mountain opposite it that seems to be waiting with folded wings. The grand canyon twists and turns with ups and downs. In summer, mountain springs flow gurgling all the way down. Sometimes they rush down several meters in a hurry, and sometimes they are calm with a secluded pool. The gorge walls on both sides are abrupt and echo each other. The forest on the walls is dense. Birds, butterflies, and cicadas chirp cheerfully and melodiously among the branches and leaves. One after another, miraculously shaped stone peaks, either tall or short, tease people’s thinking and imagination with their specific shapes.
