The Zhapojia Fishing Port is a famous fishing port in the country. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the port basin covers an area of 1.4 square kilometers. The average water depth is 2.1 meters, and the deepest point is 3.4 meters. It can berth more than 2,000 ships at the same time. The fishing port is planned and constructed according to five functions: deep processing of aquatic products, fishing vessel maintenance, aquatic product trading, commercial services, and leisure fishery.
It has a 350-meter supply dock, a 465-meter fishing vessel berth dock, a 5,000-square-meter aquatic product trading dock, a heavyweight oil depot, and a shipyard. It is an important transit station for ship supply along the southeast coast of Guangdong Province.
