Zhejiang Hongboyuan National Defense Education Base, nestled in Ningwei Town, Xiaoshan District, is a significant educational institution that offers a wealth of experiences and facilities. Situated alongside the picturesque Qiantang River bank, the base spans approximately 70,000 square meters, with a total construction area of around 47,000 square meters. Recognized as one of Zhejiang Province’s off-campus educational and cultural institutions, it is dedicated to national defense education.
The base boasts an array of amenities designed to cater to various needs and activities. These include a multimedia conference hall, a modern high-tech farm, a standard runway military training ground, a military expansion training ground, a live-action CS field, a field survival training ground, the General Tree Red Army Forest Memorial Park, the General Calligraphy and Painting Garden, the Listening to the Tide Pavilion farmhouse leisure ecological restaurant, farmhouse landscape villas, a three-star standard hotel, and student dormitories.
Offering a diverse range of services, the base specializes in student summer camps, parent-child activities, military training, enterprise business meetings, and a variety of expansion training activities. Since its official opening in December 2012, the base has earned a stellar reputation within Zhejiang Province. It has been honored with several designations, including the ‘Interview Practice Base of Xiaoshan Daily Little Journalist Group’, ‘Xiaoshan District Youth Off-campus Quality Education Base’, ‘Hangzhou Sports and Leisure Base’, ‘Li Yang Crazy English Training Base’, and the national ‘Sunny Youth’ Happy Growth Summer Camp cooperation base.
