The Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hall is situated at the foot of Baochuan Mountain and by the West Lake in Hangzhou City, located at No. 9 Shengfu Road. This impressive complex was completed and put into use in 2002. Covering an area of more than 80 acres, the main building extends 138 meters from north to south and 136 meters from east to west. The structure is divided into three parts: the South Building, the Central Building, and the North Building, with a total construction area of 58,500 square meters.
The interior layout is designed around six functional areas: the main meeting hall, international conference hall, city-specific meeting rooms, banquet hall, and dining and entertainment facilities. Each area serves a distinct purpose, catering to a variety of events and gatherings.
Outdoors, the environment is composed of three squares: the Citizen’s Square, Cultural Square, and Ceremonial Square. These spaces provide additional venues for public events and activities.
The main meeting hall of the People’s Hall is versatile, primarily designed for conferences but also capable of hosting ballet, symphony, large-scale variety shows, and various professional theatrical vocal performances. The hall is open all year round, accessible 24/7. While the interior is not open to the public, the exterior architecture can be visited at any time, allowing for the appreciation of its design and significance.
