The Zheng Guanying Memorial Hall adopts modern design language to strengthen the’recognizability’ of the new building in the historical environment. In terms of material selection and modeling, it strives to have a dialogue with historical buildings and integrate the old and new. People can ascend to the cantilevered balcony of the building to enjoy a panoramic view of the main architectural complex of the Zheng Family Mansion and evoke nostalgia for the vicissitudes of history. The design of the memorial hall implies the rejuvenation of modern China. It not only learns advanced foreign technologies but also does not forget Chinese cultural traditions.
