Zhengjia Natural Science Museum is located on the 6th floor of Zhengjia Plaza in Guangzhou. It is a new-type natural science museum built in accordance with international standards and concepts, and it is also a theme museum of natural science in Guangdong Province, which was opened to the public on May 18, 2018. The museum houses nearly a thousand rare paleontological fossils, minerals, and specimens, including the original Medusazerathus fossil collected in museums within China, with a completeness rate of up to 85%, which is one of the three most complete Medusazerathus fossils found in the world.
Adhering to the concept of ‘educational and entertaining science popularization,’ the museum uses advanced, innovative, and scientific presentation techniques to narrate the birth of the Earth and the evolution of life. The exhibition is divided into eight major themes, including Evolution of the Whale, The Fiery Sphere, Formation of Life, Macroevolution, Exploration and Discovery, Mysteries of the Stone, Creating Jurassic, and Journey to Space.
In addition to the rich collection, the exhibition is supplemented with more than 40 scientific interactive devices and multimedia videos, integrating static exhibition objects with dynamic interactive experiences to create an immersive visitor route, allowing visitors to explore natural science in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere.
Furthermore, starting from the areas of children’s curiosity, the museum combines exhibition content and collection resources to build a scientific popularization system composed of five sections: Natural Exploration Series Courses, Science Popularization Guide, Science Shuttle, Medusazerathus Theater, and Online Education. Among them, the Natural Exploration Series Courses have opened four series with a total of 47 courses, which are loved and praised by a wide range of young people and parent-child audiences.
