The Zhenhai Fortifications Site is primarily concentrated within an area of less than two square kilometers on the north and south banks at the mouth of the Yongjiang River. As a strategic location for the coastal defense of Eastern Zhejiang, the Zhenhai Fortifications Site is distinguished from other coastal defense relics in the region by its extensive range, numerous sites, comprehensive types, and well-preserved condition. The site comprises 14 locations, including 8 on the north bank of the Yongjiang River in Zhenhai District and 6 on the south bank in Beilun District, forming a complete network of historical coastal defense cultural relics. It is also one of the better-preserved coastal defense sites in China.
Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 18:00. Preferential policies: 1. Free entry for children under 1.2 meters in height; seniors over 70 years old with a senior citizen card; military personnel with valid identification; teachers with over 30 years of teaching experience, national tour guides, and journalists with valid press cards. 2.
