Ancient Wells
The monastery is home to two ancient wells, a testament to the enduring nature of this site. Despite their high-altitude location, these wells have miraculously never dried up, even during the most severe droughts.
The Thousand-Year-Old Ginkgo Tree
East of the temple stands an impressive thousand-year-old ginkgo tree. This colossal tree towers at approximately 21 meters in height and has a trunk circumference of about 2.5 meters, so vast that it takes five people to encircle it with their arms. It has been honored as the ‘Number One Ancient Tree in Hangzhou.’
Visitors’ Rest and Leisure
Today, Zhènjì Monastery serves as a sanctuary for visitors to rest and unwind after their invigorating hikes in the surrounding area.
Operation Hours
The monastery is open all year round, with 24-hour access for visitors. Ticket sales at the base of the mountain are available from 7:00 to 17:00. Once you have entered the mountain, the temple remains accessible throughout the day, allowing for flexible visitation times.
