Zhimao Bay is located in Wanjia Town, Suizhong County, western Liaoning Province. It is on the coast of the Bohai Sea and adjacent to Shanhaiguan. Many tourists from surrounding cities choose to drive here on weekends, especially those from Beijing. As it is an undeveloped primitive beach, it has fewer tourists compared to other mature beaches and is very quiet. The environment here is beautiful and the local customs are simple and honest.
The beach in Zhimao Bay is clean, gentle, and does not hurt feet. The sea water is crystal clear. There are three huge reefs standing on the sea surface more than 200 meters away from the shore. This is the relatively famous scenic spot in Zhimao Bay – Jiangnv Tomb. According to folklore, this is the place where Meng Jiangnu threw herself into the sea.

Opening hours: Open 24 hours a day throughout the year.

Must-see tips:

1. If you drive here, parking near the fishing boats on the north side of the beach is free.

2. There is a seafood market next to the beach where you can buy fresh seafood. There are many places to process it, and the processing fee is about 30 – 50 yuan.

3. July to October every year is the peak season. It is not recommended to go in winter. There are basically no tourists, and the farmhouses in Zhimao Bay do not have heating supply, so it will be very cold.
