Zhonggong Temple, also known as Zhonglian Temple, is located in Yinzhou District, Ningbo. It was constructed in memory of Zhong Yuanding. From the sixth year of the Southern Song Dynasty’s Qingyuan era to the fourth year of Jia Tai, Zhong Yuanding, styled Lian, served as the county magistrate of Yin County. During his tenure, he dedicated himself to water conservancy projects, reorganized irrigation and drainage systems, led the construction of Que Chao Qi sluice, and eradicated locusts to the benefit of the people. A temple, Zhonglian Temple, was built beside the sluice for the worship of Zhong Lian.
