Zhongshan Lingnan Water Town is located in Zhongshan City’s Minjing Town, close to the Pearl River Estuary, and adjacent to Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Hong Kong, Macao, and Shenzhen. Major highways such as the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and Guangzhou-Zhuhai Highway pass by, making transportation extremely convenient.
Zhongshan Lingnan Water Town also features small bridges and flowing water, as well as homes by the water, with the sounds of chickens, dogs, and frogs filling the air. However, influenced by the ‘Southern Barbarian’ spirit, the local culture is distinct from that of Suzhou and Hangzhou. The scenery of the water town carries a more masculine aura.
Boats are available in the water town, with light vessels cruising through the clear waters, and rows of banana, lychee, and longan trees. The thirty-odd li of waterways are just a small part of Minjing’s water town, and the water-based tourism projects in Lingnan Water Town mainly refer to this section.
Stilt houses built near the water, resembling an ancient fairy tale, evoke a sense of warmth. The water town is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:30.
