Zhongzhe Waterfall is known as ‘the first scenic spot of Yanshan Mountain’, with excellent landscapes. Shangzhe Waterfall offers a distant view of the shimmering sails in the bay, presenting a broad and open realm. After leaving Shangzhe Waterfall, walking left through Kaiyuan Cave and descending the mountain is Jingming Valley. Inside, there is the Yandang Mountain National Forest Park and the first barrier of Yandang Mountain – Tiecheng Barrier. The dangerous cliff wall is a very good scenic spot of Sanzhe Waterfall. There is a semicircular large cave. The waterfall pours down from the top of the cave. The cliff is concave inward, creating a magnificent momentum of the waterfall being thrown from the top. Along the pool, there is a circular stone path. Tourists can walk around to the back of the waterfall to view it. Through the beaded curtain of water, distant mountains are faintly visible. Looking up at the top of the cave, there are blue sky and white clouds. Pearls fall from the rock end and swirl in the air. Refracted by sunlight, it is colorful and extremely magnificent. It is said that the cooled volcanic crater encloses Zhongzhe Waterfall. Fire and water restrain and generate each other, creating a wonder between heaven and earth.
