Zhongzhou Museum is a comprehensive museum integrating collection, protection, research, display and educational functions. Covering an area of 36 mu, with a building area of 15,000 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 6,000 square meters. There are currently more than 20,000 pieces/sets of cultural relics in the collection, covering 23 categories of cultural relics. The exhibition content revolves around the theme of ‘The Soul of Loyalty and Righteousness, A Historical Book of the Earth’. There are three permanent sections: ‘Humanistic Zhongzhou’, ‘Loyal and Righteous Zhongzhou’, and ‘Exhibition Hall of Loyalty Culture’. The three exhibition sections are independent of each other in content but also intertwined. They are a concentrated display of archaeological achievements and cultural research in the Three Gorges Reservoir area of Zhongzhou, and also a large-scale themed exhibition for a comprehensive understanding of Zhongzhou’s history.
