Zhouyi Garden

The Zhouyi Garden, also known as Dianyi Garden, has a history of nearly a thousand years. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the master of Yi-ology, Cheng Yi, was banished to Fuzhou. He carved a cave in Beiyan to annotate the Yi Jing and completed four volumes of Yichuan Yizhuan. His theory was carried forward by Zhu Xi, a disciple of the third generation of the Cheng family. In the Southern Song Dynasty, it became the official prominent school – Neo-Confucianism of Cheng and Zhu. Dianyi Cave thus became the birthplace of Neo-Confucianism of Cheng and Zhu.
