The Zhucheng Celebrity Hall showcases 78 figures selected from the myriad of distinguished individuals throughout its history, including Gong Ye Chang, a student of Confucius, Zhang Zeduan, the author of the ‘Along the River During the Qingming Festival’ and a court painter of the Song Dynasty, Zhao Mingcheng, a scholar of epigraphy during the Northern Song Dynasty, Liu Yong, a calligrapher and ‘thick ink prime minister’ of the Qing Dynasty, Dou Guangnai, the chief editor of the ‘Siku Quanshu’, Wang Jinmei, a representative of the ‘First National Congress’, Zheng Yanju, the father of Qingdao’s cultural relics, modern literary figures such as Wang Tongzhao, poets like Zang Kejia, and military writers such as Wang Yuanjian.
The exhibition primarily features cultural relics and historical materials of these celebrities, arranged along the historical development, combined with thematic displays that integrate academic, artistic, and aesthetic values. It employs modern technological means such as sound, light, and electricity to recreate the life stories of these distinguished figures from various historical periods in Zhucheng, showcasing their significant contributions to Zhucheng, China, and human progress. It reflects the beautiful image of Zhucheng as a place rich in both natural and human resources.
The Celebrity Hall will serve as a cultural window of Zhucheng, becoming a classroom for traditional and patriotic education for the public, and a base for scholars and experts to explore celebrity culture, conduct research, and engage in academic exchanges. The hall is open all year round from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
