Gongbei Port is located in the southeastern part of Zhuhai City, adjacent to Macao and connected to it by land. In 2011, it surpassed the Luohu Port to become one of the most bustling urban areas in Zhuhai City. Gongbei is a crucial port in China. The customs were established at that time, named after the iconic arch bridge (the old site is next to the Bay Hotel on Shuiwan Road in Zhuhai City) with the character “Gong” and “Bei” from Bei Ling, thus named Gongbei Customs. Since then, the name Gongbei has been used until now. Open all year round on Thursdays from 08:00 to 00:00; closed on Mondays to Wednesdays, Fridays to Sundays, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
