Zimao Mountain Scenic Area is located in Zimao Town, Jinjiang City, southwest of Quanzhou urban area. It is the first batch of key scenic spots determined by the Quanzhou Municipal People’s Government, with a planned area of 8.8 square kilometers.
Zimao Mountain, where the scenic area is located, is full of spiritual beauty and magnificent scenery. It is a famous mountain in Quanzhou. Since the Tang Dynasty, it has been a well-known tourist destination.

The Zimao Mountain range has rolling mountains. Some are towering and steep, some are winding and implicit, some are delicate like jade, and some seem charming when looking back. There are high cliffs with waterfalls and tinkling springs in the mountains.

Below the mountain, lakes such as Zi Lake and Zi Stream are rippling with blue waves. They are either wide or narrow, winding and full of charm.

On the slopes and fields around the lakes, there are many fruit trees such as longan, litchi, bayberry and persimmon, with thick foliage covering the sky, looking lush and green.

In the mountains, places like Jinsu Cave, Guxuan Temple, Guyuan Chamber and Miaofeng Courtyard were the places where celebrities and Taoists of the Tang, Song, Ming and Qing dynasties studied and practiced. Buddhist sculptures and cliff inscriptions left by sages of past dynasties can be found in Baofu Temple, Anfu Temple, Puzhao Temple, Wuta Rock, etc.

Moreover, the hundreds of “heart”-shaped stone inscriptions of different shapes scattered in the mountains are a cultural relic wonder in China.
