Founded in 2011 and active in Tokyo and London, A.A. Murakami is a duo art team composed of Alexander Groves (born in 1983) and Azusa Murakami (born in 1984). Their cross-disciplinary creations span categories such as sculpture, installation, film, and digital art. The two are good at creating magnificent and spectacular scenes, taking their science-based exploration to another level. This exhibition will showcase two immersive installations that echo each other, bringing an otherworldly experience. In the first part, fog rings pass through space and enter the digital realm. In the other part, a cloud of floating bubbles slowly drifts overhead. These two large installations use ephemeral materials and apply specially developed technologies in an innovative way, inspiring the audience to philosophically contemplate the nature of reality and artificially constructed things and questioning the increasingly important digital life in today’s society. This exhibition will expand the concept of ‘transient technology’ pioneered by the two. Through innovative technological research, while reimagining the beginning of all things, it envisions possible scenarios that may emerge in the future.

Opening hours: 8/31 – 2/2. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.
