The Australian Chamber Orchestra constructs a picture of a plateau moonlit night with music. Starting with Wojciech Kilar’s ‘Orawa’, it leads the audience into the Podhale region with continuous mountains in Poland. Then it climbs to the Moravian plateau depicted in Pavel Haas’ String Quartet No. 2 (adapted for string orchestra version) and tours the ‘Monkey Mountains’, a tourist attraction in the Czech Republic. The concert starts with Kilar’s minimalist symphonic poem. Dancing along with the lively Gypsy violin, the Moravian melody full of nostalgia under Haas’ pen reveals a jazz rhythm. Finally, it reaches Tchaikovsky’s beloved serenade. The gorgeous melody and dancing rhythm are still unforgettable even among the composer’s numerous works.

Opening time: December 7. The performance time and duration are subject to the on-site situation.
