Play: In the secluded Maria Brunn Monastery, the beautiful young Goldmund is brought here by his father to atone for his dissolute mother. Goldmund silently admires the young scholar Narcissus in the monastery. Narcissus sees Goldmund’s excellent endowment at a glance. The two people who are completely different but admire each other finally become friends through accidental opportunities. Narcissus inspires Goldmund to embark on a journey of wandering and find himself. The story of the musical begins when the two meet again… Reason and sensibility, morality and innocence, restraint and enjoyment, spirit and nature; people at two poles and two contradictions in the same individual’s heart, sensing and inspiring each other.
