Xiao Shi, one of the three strange stones in Nanxun, stands approximately two meters tall and resembles a tiger crouching. There is a hole in the belly of the stone, and when blown into, it produces a sound resembling a tiger’s roar. On the stone, there are the characters ‘Xiao Shi’ inscribed in clerical script by the Qing dynasty scholar Ruan Yuan. It is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
