Synopsis: In the scorching heat of Egypt, only the breeze on the Nile can bring a touch of coolness. The Karnak cruise ship is sailing on the river, fully loaded with tourists from the modern civilized world. Detective Hercule Poirot is also among them, enjoying his rare vacation. Egypt is so ancient and mysterious to them, waiting to be conquered but also carrying ominous signs. And the most dazzling among this group is undoubtedly Linnet Ridgeway – the richest female heir in the UK. Young and charming, she is newly married and owns the whole world. But love cannot eliminate the uneasiness that shrouds her. Everyone on the cruise ship seems to harbor malicious intentions towards her, including the jealousy and intimidation of rivals, the resentment of servants, and the threats of old enemies. Poirot witnesses everything but ultimately fails to prevent the tragedy. On a restless night, Linnet is shot dead in her cabin, with a bullet in her head. And when Poirot starts to investigate the case, murders follow one after another…
