In 2025, Huanggu District once again continues the legendary glory of the three-decade-old Beihang Lantern Festival. The Second Ruyi Huanggu Bitang Spring Lantern Festival is set to bloom as promised. Drawing inspiration from the theme “A Thousand Years in One Encounter” and centering on the core motif of “Love,” this year’s festival ingeniously integrates visual imagery of the “Spiritual Serpent” and “Blossoming Flowers.” Through the exquisite craftsmanship of Zigong colored lanterns, the enchanting allure of modern technology, and the profound heritage of Eastern aesthetics, it creates an unprecedented immersive lantern festival experience, warmly inviting guests from all directions to enjoy it free of charge!
From New Year’s Eve to the Second Day of the Second Lunar Month (Dragon Raises Head Day), the Second Ruyi Huanggu Bitang Spring Lantern Festival presents a splendid array of highlights. The main lantern, “Flora Goddess of Creation,” shelters all living beings, praying for tranquil years and enduring blessings. The Thousand-Lantern Wishing Lanterns fulfill all aspirations and grant every heartfelt desire.

The Double Happiness Lantern ties the red thread of fate, leading encounters with destined romance. The Elegance of Shengjing Illuminates the Festive Lanterns, showcasing the magnificent Bitang lantern scenery by the Hun River in the sunlit north… Meanwhile, creative paintings by elementary school students of Huanggu District, crafted by Zigong lantern artisans, use innocence as brushes and imagination as ink to evoke the beauty and joy of childhood.

During the festival, visitors can dress up in traditional costumes to become the protagonists of the lantern event, transcending time and space. The God of Fortune bestows blessings and wishing ribbons, while collecting the Five Blessings ensures prosperity and beauty. Xu Xian and Lady Bai (White Snake) dance across a thousand years, and the Spring Lantern Festival Music Festival, along with other spectacular performances and activities, await your participation.

Opening Hours: 12/31 – 3/11
