Disneyland Park, Anaheim, California, USA inaugurated in 1955. Holds the distinction of being the inaugural Disney theme park.
Envisioned and overseen by Walt Disney himself, Disneyland Park is known as ‘The Happiest Place on Earth’. It is the sole park directly designed and constructed under Walt Disney’s watchful eye, giving it a special legacy.

Highlights include Sleeping Beauty Castle, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Indiana Jones Adventure. Disneyland Park has a rating of 4.7/5 with 1,442 reviews and is part of the 2024 Global 100 – Best Things to Do under the theme parks category.

I visited Disneyland in Anaheim, CA for the first time in October 2019. I enjoyed rides like Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Pinnochio, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, and many others. I also took pictures of the Halloween decor, met Pluto, princesses in Fantasyland, Alice & the Mad Hatter, Jack and Sally, and the Bride from the Haunted Mansion. I experienced Disney California Adventure for the first time with my brother Luke and enjoyed Pixar Pier, The Little Mermaid ride, Monsters Inc, Radiator Springs Racers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and met Spiderman before going to the Oogie Boogie Bash. The Oogie Boogie Bash is a unique experience for trick or treating or taking kids/grandkids and meeting rare characters. I met the Blue Fairy from Pinnochio, Mickey in his Halloween outfit, Chip and Dale in their Indiana Jones & Magnum PI outfits from Rescue Rangers, and Snow White with Dopey.

On my second visit in August 2021, Genie+ wasn’t very effective as Disney parks worldwide are always busy regardless of month or season. It is a separate fee to purchase (can be done on the Disneyland app or at guest services). Guests can choose up to 3 rides to skip the line for the day but must arrive within a certain time of the timeframe selected for the ride. Knowing your way around the park is essential for easy planning, which is my only complaint.
