Art Image iD TOWN is positioned as Shenzhen’s ‘International Art District’, integrating a variety of creative cultural functions such as ‘creative design, international art exchange, master workshops, education and training, fashion release, and leisure tourism’. Born from the legacy of Shenzhen’s industrial architecture in the late 1980s, Art Image iD TOWN International Art District is the former Shenzhen Honghua Printing and Dyeing Factory (established in 1989 and officially closed in 2003), retaining a relatively complete industrial architectural complex composed of 19 printing and dyeing factories and office buildings of different shapes and sizes.
The architectural style is predominantly high-ceilinged factories with a height of 12 meters, offering spacious and bright indoor spaces with strong artistic potential. The Manjinghua Art Museum, located in Building 1 of the Art District, was originally the assembly workshop of the Honghua Printing and Dyeing Factory. The core spirit of the museum’s renovation is not to touch any original architectural structures, allowing the ‘new-old’ buildings to coexist and rely on each other.

The total construction area is 3,600 square meters. The first floor features a large semi-outdoor space, ensuring the connectivity between the old factory and the new art museum while providing ample public activity space. The second floor makes full use of the old building’s skylights, providing unique natural lighting conditions for various exhibitions, aiming to create a professional-level art space. Open from January 1st to December 31st, 09:00-18:00.
