The Chongqing Science and Technology Museum is located in the core area of the Chongqing Jiangbei Mouth Central Business District (CBD), featuring an exterior design that combines stone and glass materials. Inside, visitors can learn about the history and future of technological development at home and abroad, as well as in Chongqing, making it an excellent place for the general public, especially children and young people, to acquire scientific knowledge.
The museum houses numerous exhibition halls, including those dedicated to life technology, disaster prevention technology, transportation technology, and national defense technology, allowing visitors to choose the ones that interest them. Many facilities within the museum are interactive, offering a high level of entertainment. Visiting here can expand one’s knowledge and broaden one’s horizons, making it very suitable for bringing children.
Opening hours: The museum is open from 09:30 to 17:00 on Tuesdays to Sundays throughout the year; it is closed all day on Mondays.
Service facilities: Mobile phone charging requires a deposit, luggage storage is available for large items, and guided tours are provided as a National 4A-level tourist attraction. The museum offers Chinese-language guided tours to introduce the museum’s exhibition concepts and the basic situation of the exhibition halls and exhibits. This service is a paid project, with one guide per group, and the tour duration is approximately 60 minutes. Visitors can inquire and handle this at the visitor service center on the second floor of the museum.
Charge standards: For 1 to 6 visitors, it is 60 yuan per time; for 7 to 30 visitors, it is 100 yuan per time. If the group exceeds 30 people, the additional number of people will be charged again according to this standard, and an additional guide will be provided.
Stroller rental requires a deposit of 300 yuan, umbrella rental is available with a deposit of 50 yuan, and wheelchair rental requires a deposit of 300 yuan. There is a mother and baby room located next to the bathroom near the entrance of the XD cinema on the third floor, providing a private space for nursing mothers. Dining: The Liangjiang Scenery Restaurant on the first floor of Area A of the museum offers a beautiful environment and attentive service, providing a variety of Chinese simple meals and exquisite Chinese cuisine. The restaurant also has snack stalls, vending machines, and orange juice vending machines at the entrance, offering various snacks and beverages to meet the needs of different levels of visitors.
