The Tengzhou Han Dynasty Stone Carving Museum is a renowned cultural relic site in the southern Shandong region, housing over five hundred pieces of Han Dynasty stone carvings, ranking as one of the top three such museums in the country. It includes exhibition areas, a cultural relics warehouse, a restoration area for cultural relics, and a rest area for visitors.

Located beside the Jinghe Bridge and beneath the Longquan Pagoda, the museum features arched gates, eaves that seem to soar into the sky, white walls, and green tiles, all contributing to its unique style. It is aligned with the main axis of the International Mozi Research Center, exuding grandeur and magnificence.

The museum’s name is handwritten by the renowned calligrapher Mr. Wang Xuezhong, whose writing is both ancient and profound, elegant and graceful, perfectly complementing the stone carvings and enhancing their beauty. The stone carvings, which are tombstones carved with images from the Han Dynasty, showcase a distinctive style and a range of carving techniques from shallow relief to high relief and incised lines, reflecting the grandeur and delicacy of Han Dynasty sculpture. The content of the carvings covers various aspects of Han Dynasty society, including the famous ‘Ox Plowing Chart,’ ‘Iron Smelting Chart,’ and ‘Weaving Chart,’ which reflect the ancient political and economic status of the Tengzhou region. These carvings are referred to as a ‘microcosm of Han society’ and a ‘treasure of Eastern art,’ beloved by many celebrities, historians, aestheticians, literati, and epigraphists.

The Tengzhou Han Dynasty Stone Carving Museum is situated on the central axis of the Cultural Plaza, integrating with the plaza’s culture, making it convenient for citizens to understand ancient culture and aligning with new concepts of global cultural dissemination. The architectural style emulates Han Dynasty architecture, and its construction area is the largest in the country.
