I woke up very early in the morning, so excited that I couldn’t sleep. Checking the weather for the day, it was cloudy and not very hot, so I wore a coat. Unexpectedly, this coat was really useful because the temperature at night was only a little over ten degrees Celsius and the wind was also very strong. As for what I brought with me, I traveled light and only carried a small shoulder bag, which also contained a disposable raincoat. I didn’t bring an umbrella but took a large-brimmed canvas hat that can block the sun and rain. I brought a water cup from Beijing because I heard from a friend that there are many drinking water supply points inside Disneyland. Without having breakfast, I went to the lobby to wait for the shuttle bus. Everyone else was traveling in groups, only I was alone, but I didn’t feel lonely at all. In less than half an hour, the shuttle bus arrived at the parking lot of Disneyland. The driver explained the gathering place and the shuttle bus schedule, and then we disbanded.

Walking on the bridge leading to Disneyland, accompanied by the background music of the Beauty and the Beast animated movie, I was filled with excitement. When I arrived at the entrance queue area, I felt like being poured a basin of cold water because there were so many people. After waiting for a long time, security check and entrance began. After entering, I still had to queue up to pick up the ticket, and there were all kinds of scalpers and line-cutting phenomena in between. Later, I calculated that it took me more than two and a half hours from when I arrived at the entrance area to when I played the first project (Soaring Over the Horizon). After getting the ticket, I truly entered Disneyland. I began to bind the ticket to the official Shanghai Disneyland APP to obtain an FP (Fastpass. Each person can draw up to three per day). As a result, the FP card for Soaring Over the Horizon could not be obtained anymore, but I got a Tron Lightcycle Power Run card. The time period was approximately from 9:30 to 10:30. Since there was still some time before that, and I also saw on the APP that the queuing time for Soaring Over the Horizon was less than one hour. So I went to queue up at the Soaring Over the Horizon first, thinking that I could catch up with the time to use the Tron Lightcycle Power Run card anyway.

During the queuing process at Soaring Over the Horizon, you can scan the QR code on the wall to participate in the popular science knowledge quiz game, and you can also choose which team to join. Since it is indoors, the answering situations of various teams will also be projected on the high walls on all sides. I joined the snake team and actually had a feeling of being transported to the world of Harry Potter. The questions were very difficult, but I finally got the third place in my team. It was quite interesting. Finally, it was my turn. The staff first led everyone to watch a video about Grandma Thunderbird. Then we entered the hall of the project device. There were several rows of seat equipment, and I was arranged in the last row. As the equipment rose, the huge circular screen in front also wrapped us in it. This project is a combination of visual, auditory, olfactory and tactile experiences. I won’t reveal the specific situation because only when you experience it in person can you feel the fun. However, I can say that my acrophobia and thalassophobia were about to attack (ps. In fact, there is no scene that appears in the sea). Plus, I didn’t eat anything in the morning. When I came out, I actually had some dry heaves and had to hold back.

After finally experiencing the first project, I found that I couldn’t reach the Tron Lightcycle Power Run area before 10:30. So I started to stroll leisurely while looking around and took many photos. The reference value of the strategy I made before is basically zero. The Battle for the Sunken Treasure is a relatively popular project in Disney. When I walked to the Pirates of the Caribbean area, I went to line up. Unexpectedly, although there seemed to be a lot of people, it actually only took me more than twenty minutes to reach my turn. Compared with Soaring Over the Horizon, the queuing time for the Sunken Treasure is extremely reasonable. I also got the FastPass for the Roaring Rapids during the queuing process. The time period is approximately from 15:30 to 16:30 in the afternoon. I really love this adventure project of the Sunken Treasure. Captain Jack Sparrow and the Black Pearl, Davy Jones and the huge sea monster. It seems that I am really participating in this fierce naval battle. By the way, there will be a small surprise at the end. Although I still had some lingering feelings, I continued to participate in the next project. Fortunately, when I accidentally walked to the location of the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, the performance was about to start immediately.**A Day at Disneyland: A Personal Narrative**

**Alone and Adventurous**

I found myself alone, yet undeterred, as I caught the tail end of the line and was ushered in. Despite the difficulty of securing a seat at the back and the performance not meeting my lofty expectations, the children’s enthusiasm was contagious. They sang along to the music, donning Queen Elsa’s dresses, and circled the stage, led by the actors. Their interaction was a delightful sight to behold.

**The Tron Lightcycle Power Run: A Mix of Anticipation and Anxiety**

My favorite and most regretful project was the Tron Lightcycle Power Run. Hunger gnawed at me, but as I approached the Tomorrowland area, I hesitated. The thrill of the ride and the fear of vomiting warred within me. Recalling my boasts to friends, I joined the queue. The familiarity of the scene struck me, reminiscent of ‘Tron: Legacy,’ a movie I adored in high school for its cool, cyberpunk aesthetic.

Opting for the single rider line, I found myself with only two people ahead. The process was efficient; while the regular line took 45 minutes, I was seated in under ten. Nervousness gripped me, my palms sweaty, and the solitude amplified my anxiety. Yet, the ride was exhilarating, a perfect blend of thrill and entertainment. It surpassed my previous experience on the world’s fastest roller coaster at Ferrari World, offering a less weightless, more immersive experience. The wind in my ears whispered of a future world, and I wished for the chance to relive it.

**A Quick Respite and More Adventures**

Afterward, I ventured to Disneytown for a simple meal. I marveled at the abundance of restrooms, yet found myself in a desperate search for one late at night. At the Marvel headquarters, I met staff dressed as Captain America, though I was more captivated by the dazzling Iron Man armor. As an Avengers fan, the headquarters fell short of my expectations.

**An Unexpected Downpour and a Serendipitous Photo**

A light rain began as I left, but my wide-brimmed hat kept me dry, adding a pleasant touch to the evening. I found myself at the Disney castle, capturing a panoramic shot of the sparsely populated platform. The overcast sky cast a desolate air, but I was grateful for the time before the afternoon parade to explore more.

**A Whirlwind of Attractions**

I returned to the Pirates of the Caribbean area, visiting the Sea Demon and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The latter’s queue was an hour long, but the sun’s return brought warmth. The ride was a scream-filled adventure, nostalgic and child-friendly. En route to the parade, I navigated the Alice Maze, simple but offering a striking Queen of Hearts sculpture for photos.

**The Grand Parade: A Spectacle of Joy**

Arriving early at the parade area, I secured a prime spot. The music was infectious, and the parade was a spectacle of joy. Familiar characters, massive props, and flag-waving girls filled the air with delight. Rapunzel and Eugene, Elsa, Mulan, and the sweet flag-waving girls were just a few of the enchanting sights that had everyone reaching for their phones to capture the magic of the moment. The parade ended close to four o’clock. As I didn’t want to miss out on the Fast Pass, I hurried to the Thunder Mountain Rapids and put on a disposable raincoat I had prepared in advance. However, to my dismay, the hood of my raincoat was broken (it was given to me for free during a long-distance run last year), leaving me speechless and resigned. The rapids were not thrilling at all. Our boatmates were chatting and laughing throughout. It wasn’t until the end, with a small downhill section, that water poured into my seat, drenching me instantly. My hair got wet and my shoes filled with water. Fortunately, the sun was out, so I could dry off.

Seeing a rope course in front of the artificial mountain and waterfall, I was eager to try it out. But I really wanted to experience the Sunken Treasure and the Lightcycle again, so I continued on. Next, I retraced my steps to the Pirates of the Caribbean area and experienced the Sunken Treasure once more. It was still only a twenty-minute wait. The girl sitting next to me was clearly frightened by the sudden appearance of the sea monster, but I didn’t experience any深海恐惧症 throughout.

After finishing this project, I was very conflicted. On the one hand, I really wanted to experience the Tron Lightcycle Power Run again. On the other hand, I also wanted to experience the rope challenge that I hadn’t played before. So I made a decision that I regretted – to play the rope challenge. I queued for more than an hour before it was my turn. When I reached the plank road, I regretted it because I am really afraid of heights. The spaced stone pillars are very terrifying. I dare not step on various suspended wooden boards and ropes. I just timidly walked on the regular plank road on one side. Looking at the children in the same batch as me walking through the rope net, I decided to challenge myself. Just when I was trembling and walking onto the rope net, as soon as I took a step, I found that I couldn’t turn back. I am short, but the safety rope is very short. When I finally slowly reached the middle part, I suddenly felt like a hanging cured meat, unable to move. There was no one around to encourage me. Suddenly, I was a little envious of those tourists who traveled together. At this time, I was behind the same batch of people. I didn’t want to be seen by the next batch of people unable to move. So I had to hold the safety rope tightly with both hands and move to that side little by little. Next, I was very well-behaved and kept walking on the safe and solid road. Looking at the agile young man walking on the most dangerous rope and passing quickly, I could only be amazed. This project should be very suitable for those who love climbing and adventure. It is really unfriendly to people with acrophobia. Until now, I still regret choosing to play the rope challenge. After all, the queuing time is enough for me to play the Tron Lightcycle Power Run twice. So I secretly made up my mind that the next time I come to Disney, I must play the Tron Lightcycle Power Run at least three times to make up for this regret.

Here comes the highlight, that is the final Disney castle night light illusion show. The night light illusion show starts at 8:30 pm. I started looking for a position at 7 o’clock, but many people have already occupied the front positions. Since the people in front are all standing, I don’t dare to sit down for fear of being stepped on by others. During the waiting process, I felt pain all over my body. Calculating the time I stood in line and waited all day, starting from reaching the Disney entrance area, it adds up to more than six hours in total. It is not an exaggeration to say that if all the sporadic queuing times are counted, it can reach seven hours. The night light illusion show is very beautiful and moved me deeply as someone who has watched many Disney works. There are many related videos on the Internet with good shooting angles and clarity, but only by watching it in person can you enter this beautiful dream.

I really like Disney and want to play in all the Disneys in the world. After the night light illusion show ended, taking advantage of the reduced number of tourists, I took some photos of the lit castle and carousel. The temperature was very low and the wind was blowing. Since the shuttle bus of our hotel would not arrive until 10 o’clock, I kept wandering around in the Mickey store. The things sold inside are very expensive, but the quality is not very satisfactory. Looking at them is still very good. The aunt holding the sign in the parking lot is really dedicated. We took the last bus back to the hotel and ended the whole day’s Disney trip. I ate warm food in the convenience store
