On a sunny weekend, our family of three set off for Lehuo Campsite in Fengxian, embarking on a unique parent-child fun team-building journey. We had long heard that this place was not only picturesque but also a paradise for parent-child activities, and today we finally got to experience it in person, filled with anticipation and excitement.
As soon as we stepped into the campsite, a lush orchard came into view, and the air was filled with the sweet smell of seasonal fruits. In midsummer, blueberries and grapes hung full on the branches, their colors attractive and inviting. We couldn’t wait to pick up a small basket and start our journey of picking seasonal fruits. Our child excitedly shuttled among the fruit trees, shouting with joy each time he found a ripe fruit. That pure joy infected each of us.
During the picking process, we not only enjoyed the gifts of nature but also experienced the fun of labor and the satisfaction of harvest. After our fruitful picking, we moved on to the small animal feeding area with our full harvest. The small animals here seemed to sense our enthusiasm and gathered around. The little rabbit leisurely nibbled on tender grass leaves, the little duck splashed happily in the pond, and the lamb curiously looked at every visitor.
Our child carefully held the food and gently put it by the mouths of the small animals. At that moment, I saw tenderness and kindness in his eyes. Through feeding the small animals, the child not only learned to care for life but also experienced the beauty of living in harmony with nature. This day at Lehuo Campsite was truly a memorable parent-child adventure, filled with joy, learning, and connection with the natural world. In the afternoon, we took a retro small train and slowly traveled through the campsite. The “toot” sound of the small train intertwined with the scenery along the way into a beautiful melody, making people feel relaxed and happy. The child sat in my arms and excitedly pointed at the scenery outside the window and told about what he saw and felt. At that moment, I felt the tacit understanding and happiness between parents and children that need no words.
The following activities are even more wonderful. Invincible wind and fire wheels, kangaroo jumps, caterpillar races… These creative parent-child sports immersed our whole family in laughter. Although the child is still young, he showed amazing perseverance and team spirit in the competition. Whenever he completed a challenge, we would give him the warmest applause and encouragement. These sports not only exercised the child’s physical coordination but also let him learn the importance of perseverance and effort.
Of course, parent-child frisbee and the checkpoint challenge on the acupressure mats are also projects not to be missed. On the wide grassland, we tossed the frisbee and enjoyed the tacit cooperation between parents and children; in the checkpoint challenge area on the acupressure mats, we supported each other and jointly overcame one difficulty after another. These activities not only enhanced the parent-child relationship between us but also let us experience the fun of sports and the thrill of challenges.
As the sun sets in the west, our journey at Lehuo Campsite draws to a close.Reflecting on the day’s experiences, my heart is filled with gratitude and reluctance to leave. I am thankful to Lehuo Campsite for providing us with such an enjoyable and challenging platform for parents and children. I am also thankful to our child for giving us the opportunity to grow and laugh together. In the days to come, we look forward to returning here to continue writing our family story.
