Shanghai’s Timeless Charm:
Every visit to Shanghai offers a unique sentiment. This city, a blend of nostalgia and modernity, ancient yet trendy, captures the attention of countless visitors. If you have only one weekend, you must visit the iconic Bund and the architecture of nations. However, the heat of Shanghai in midsummer is intense and best experienced after sunset when you can slowly appreciate the charm of Shanghai at night.
Discovering Songcheng: A Day Outing Paradise
During this visit, I discovered a place perfect for day outings with a plethora of enjoyable activities suitable for families, couples, and friends of all ages. It’s Songcheng, not far from the Bund, where half a day is enough to immerse you in the history and present of Shanghai, and even transport you to the glamorous era of the ‘Bai Li Yang Chang’. Most activities are indoors, allowing you to leisurely watch performances and enjoy tea with a view of the Huangpu River. In short, no more worries about wasting the beautiful daytime hours here!

Visiting Shanghai Songcheng is not only about watching various performances but also a perfect place for photo打卡, especially for women. The 4th floor Shanghai style street, full of old Shanghai flavor, offers various Chinese and Japanese nostalgic scenes to satisfy your photo needs. Here you can also rent cheongsams, Hanfu, and yukatas, and purchase various cultural and creative products with old Shanghai style.

For various performances and situational projects in Songcheng, it is recommended to see Ghost Ship, Strange Tales of Liaozhai, Elf Valley, and War Fire. The performances are Dance of Flowers, Earthquake, and the main show of Eternal Love.
