On October 4, 2022, the weather in Shanghai was overcast with light rain, and the temperature fluctuated between 18.9 to 29.1 degrees Celsius. A drive was taken to Yuyuan Shopping Center, where the following picture captured the intersection of Henan South Road and Renmin Road. Parking at Erdos underground parking garage cost 15 yuan for the first hour and 7.5 yuan for every subsequent half hour. The residential areas around Chenxiangge Road have been relocated. Chenxiangge is a key national Buddhist temple in Han areas. The takeout area of Nanxiang Steamed Bun Shop was visited, where Nanxiang Xiaolong steamed buns were priced at 25 yuan per customer. Yuyuan Shopping Center is known for gathering many ‘time-honored brands of China’ in Shanghai, including Xian Delai spareribs and rice cakes, with spareribs costing 18 yuan. By the end of the day, a total of 251.6 kilometers had been traveled.

On October 5, 2022, with the weather remaining overcast and with light rain, temperatures dropped to a range of 16.8 to 20.3 degrees Celsius. A visit to Yuyuan Shopping Center was made again, with parking at Erdos underground garage. The ‘New North Gate’ station of Route 64 on Renmin Road was also visited. A nostalgic journey back to the 1980s was recalled, when crossing the river by ferry at Shiliupu from Puxi to Pudong was common, and Route 64 was taken each time. Vegetarian buns at Songyuelou were enjoyed, priced at 4.5 yuan each. By the end of the day, a total of 271.3 kilometers had been traveled.

On October 6, 2022, the weather in Shanghai continued to be overcast with light rain, with temperatures at 15.0 to 18.6 degrees Celsius.Visiting Fengjing Ancient Town is the ‘grand finale’ of our National Day self-driving tour this year. Complimentary parking is available. The driving route for going there includes Linhai Highway, Shanghai Ring Expressway, and Tingfeng Expressway. Freshly made Siu Mai is also available for purchase at 15 yuan per box. For the return journey, the driving route includes Huhang Expressway, Shenjiahua Expressway, and Shulu Expressway.
