Qingdao University of Science and Technology is located in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It is a key university directly under the former Ministry of Chemical Industry. It has been selected into the national ‘111 Plan’. It is among the first batch of universities selected for the ‘Outstanding Engineer Education and Training Program’ and the ‘New Engineering Research and Practice Project’. It is the first institution of higher learning in China to establish a rubber major.
It is also the only university in the field of rubber majors in Asia. It has successively been under the jurisdiction of the former Ministry of Light Industry and the Ministry of Chemical Industry. Currently, it is a key university under the construction of Shandong Province and a famous university with characteristics in cultivating applied basic talents in Shandong Province.
