Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis Grand Theatre is located at the northwest corner of Starlight Island. The architectural design concept draws inspiration from the image of a blue sea and a silver conch, resembling a silver conch standing by the sea, integrating fashion and cultural characteristics, and showcasing the regional features of Qingdao as well as elements of Chinese culture. As an important part of Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis, the Grand Theatre integrates functions such as movie screenings, film festival award ceremonies, live performances, and concert performances, bringing joy of light and shadow to people in Qingdao and around the world.
(1) ‘Kung Fu Legend’ is a performance that the media has called a new era of Beijing’s performances. It is adapted by the renowned New York Broadway musical director Raymond Roderic and dancer Jin Xing. It was a fixed performance project during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, with nearly 9,000 performances at home and abroad, and more than 6.8 million viewers from over 50 countries around the world have watched the show.
